Function as a rural teacher education institution in the region provide academic environment conductive for teaching, learning and extension development relevant teacher competencies and proper commitment among prospective teachers to maximize their teacher performance. Promote quality enhancement in education by organising seminars, workshops, conferences, publications and exhibition. Serve the Community by means of Extension and sharing the resources to sister concern.
About Us
Rehuma Beevi Memorial Institute of Teacher Education (RBM ITE) was established in 2004 with the vision of nurturing future educators and contributing to the advancement of quality teaching practices. Our institution was founded to offer the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program, designed to prepare competent and compassionate teachers who can inspire the next generation of learners.

Our campus is located in a serene and inspiring setting, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, yet easily accessible. Situated just 7 kilometers from Punalur Municipality and 4 kilometers from Punalur Papermill, RBM ITE offers a peaceful and conducive learning environment. The campus provides modern facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, a well-equipped library, and technology-enabled learning resources to support our students’ academic journey.
